What is the cost of a Fibreglass Pool?

The cost of our fibreglass pools is very dependent on several factors.  MY POOL DIRECT prices start from approximately £8500 plus VAT. The prices are dependant on size and design. They are also based on whether you prefer a metallic 3D pool or a standard fibreglass pool. Both are equally efficient. The only difference is the finish of the fibreglass pool.

How are Fibreglass Pools made?

 The durability of the pools offered by our company is also influenced by the resins with which we cover the pool structures. These are high-quality vinyl resins that are designed to protect the pool against the adverse effects of chlorine and excessively high temperatures. The top layer of the pool is particularly resistant to adverse conditions such as large temperature fluctuations, solar radiation or chlorine. The Structure of the pools also has a special, metal-reinforced structure that ensures the shape of the pool and guarantees its safe transport. 

How much do Fibreglass Pools weigh?

The weight of our fibreglass pools is dependant on the size. To give you an example, a pol measuring 8 metres x 3.7 metres weighs approximately 950 kilos. The fibreglass pools are sturdy and extremely durable.

Are Fibreglass Pools simple to install?

Although MY POOL DIRECT doesn’t offer the installation of your fibreglass pool, we support you throughout the process.  We will give you or your builder an installation guide and will be on the end of the phone should you have general questions.

Whilst it would be beneficial to choose a builder who has previously installed a fibreglass pool, it isn’t necessary.  It is a reasonably simple process, and as long as you source a reputable builder who has good reviews, you will be using your new pool in no time at all!

Is the installation of a Fibreglass Pool a lengthy process? 

When installing your fibreglass pool, timing is key.  You need to allow enough time for your cement to dry completely, and the weather should be a deciding factor on when to start the groundworks. MY POOL DIRECT would suggest allowing approximately 3-6 weeks. However, this is taking into consideration any landscaping, plant room installation and fitting the accessories in the pool.  You will be able to enjoy your pool as soon as the day after completion.

Can Fibreglass Pools be used in all climates?

Absolutely! When purchasing a heat pump, you should always consider whether you intend to use the pool during the warmer months or all year round. We offer a Hydro Pro Heat Pump or a Hydro Pro Inverter Heat Pump. Some people are disillusioned into believing that fibreglass pools may crack during exceptionally cold weather. This isn’t the case! With that said, we recommend winterising your pool in preparation for those chilly seasons.

Can I choose a different shape Fibreglass Pool?

MY POOL DIRECT not only supply our standard fibreglass pools in the UK and Europe, but we also offer a bespoke dura polymer pool option. Our dura polymer pools come in a variety of shapes, some of which include T-Shape, Kidney, L-Shape and Oval, to name a few. Are there various size fibreglass pools available?

Another reason our one-piece fibreglass pools are so popular is because of the various size options available. Some of our customers prefer a smaller pool, usually when opting for a hydrotherapy pool. These pools can be used for your beloved dog, or perhaps you have had surgery and need a helping hand during your recovery. The largest pools we supply are up to 11 metres in length and 3.75 metres in width. The depth of the fibreglass pools is 1.5 metres consistently throughout.

Will a Fibreglass pool float? 

If your builder has followed our installation guide correctly, using the exact measurements of concrete and hardcore as well as ground drainage, you will not have the concern of your fibreglass pool lifting or floating.

What is the life span of a Fibreglass Pool? 

Fibreglass pools can last a very long time.  We offer a twenty-year warranty on all of our pools, with minimal maintenance required.  However, by looking after your pool, the longer it will last.

Will my Fibreglass Pool fade over time?

Being constantly exposed to the sun, all pools will start to lighten after a period of time.  However, this will be a slow process and will not affect the gel surface or the efficiency of the pool itself.
