We take pride in the quality and durability of our swimming pool finishes. However, it’s important to understand that the gel coat warranty does not cover any discoloration, fading, blistering, or surface damage caused by the incorrect use of pool chemicals.

Why?

The gel coat surface is designed to provide a smooth, protective finish that maintains its colour and shine when properly cared for. Pool water chemistry plays a critical role in protecting that finish. Harsh or imbalanced chemicals, such as excessive chlorine, unbuffered acids, or incorrect pH levels, can attack the gel coat and lead to permanent staining, discoloration, or structural degradation.

Examples of Incorrect Chemical Use:

• Adding undiluted chemicals directly into the pool water without proper dispersion.
• Maintaining pH or alkalinity levels outside the recommended ranges.
• Using unapproved algaecides, sanitisers, or chemical additives.
• Allowing chlorine or other sanitisers to build up to harmful concentrations.

Your Responsibility

To keep your pool finish looking its best, and to protect your warranty, it is the pool owner’s responsibility to:

• Regularly test and balance water chemistry.
• Follow manufacturer and industry guidelines for chemical use.
• Seek professional advice when uncertain about water care.

If discoloration or damage occurs due to chemical misuse, the warranty will not apply.
